Kate Siedem is currently a Sophomore defender at Brown University. From Madison, New Jersey, Kate played for the New Heights Field Hockey Club and attended Oak Knoll School. During her Junior year at Oak Knoll, she helped her team secure a #11 national ranking and was personally named a NFHCA High School All-American. She was also named to the NFHCA High School All-region team (NJ) and was selected First-Team All State, All Conference, All-Non Public, and All County after both her Junior and Senior years. Kate was a two-time Oak Knoll Field Hockey Most Valuable Defensive Player, a two-time MAX Field Hockey Preseason Player to Watch, a NFHCA Impact Senior Team Member in 2022, and a Max Field Hockey National Invitational Top Performer in 2022. She was a Senior Captain for the Oak Knoll field hockey team, in addition to being an Ice Hockey Captain for both her Junior and Senior years. She was awarded Most Valuable Defensive Player for the Oak Knoll Varsity Ice Hockey team in her freshman season and was awarded the MVP in both her Junior and Senior years. Alongside her performance on the field and ice, she earned Cum Laude recognition in 2021, Oak Knoll Scholar-Athlete in 2022, and served as the 2022 Oak Knoll Academic Council President and Student Body Vice President. During her freshman field hockey season at Brown, she saw action in all 16 games and recorded 7 starts, and in her Sophomore season, she has started in all 16 games played.Â
